Managing partner at P. A. Kwega & Co. Advocates Phannie Kwegah is excited as her beautiful young sister, identified as Kwega Valentine, has scored an impressive A- in the just concluded Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations (KCSE).

2023 KCSE results

Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu released the 2023 KCSE results on January 8, and excited parents took to the Facebook platform to share about their kids' performances.

"Ululuuuuuuuuu my girl has done it. She’s given us an overall Grade of A- with a plain A in mathematics. Hesabu! A safi! Ey!" exclaimed an excited Kwega.

"Aiiiiii buana! I’m so happy aaaaaaaaaah! Please come and hold me because I am veru excited. I am very emotional, congratulations baby girl," she celebrated.

In another Facebook post, Kwegah revealed that Valentine was a pupil at Kilimani Primary School, and from there, she went to Bunyore High School.

"My personal journey with her coupled with our mother’s prayers and my sister's support. Aaah, baby girl has done us proud!" said Kwegah.
"I don’t know how much university fees is with this Ruto Uchumi, but we will cross that bridge just as we have crossed all others before.For now, we thank God," added the lawyer.

How was the 2023 KCSE performance?

In another story, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu ordered investigations after many candidates scored poorly in the 2023 KCSE exam.

Out of 899,453 candidates who took their examinations, 48,174 scored an E, according to the results announced by Machogu.

Machogu wondered why candidates posted poor results despite KNEC using a more flexible system of computing the final overall candidate results.
