Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba has celebrated budding football sensation Aldrine Kibet, whose impeccable skills with the ball have put him in the national limelight.

While sharing the heartwarming photo of how the police officer sweetly showed support to Kibet and his teammates during a match on Saturday, December 2, Ababu also praised the talented footballer.

In the moving video, the officer saluted Kibet several times after he scored a goal, and other football fans erupted into thundering joy following the goal.

The gesture seems to have also touched Ababu, who now wants to meet the officer as his salute exudes the Talanta Hela spirit.

"I am looking for you, police officer. The salute to our super boys is in the Talanta Hela spirit! Let’s talk. About today, let’s all support the revolutionary pipeline feeding the Kenya talent pool as nationals of the TalantaHela Trophy kick off today at Nyayo Stadium," he wrote on his ZX platform.

Kibet makes it to the score sheet

A week ago, Kibet made it to the score sheet on his first international assignment on Saturday, November 25.

Kibet netted the third goal 33 minutes into the game, contributing to the haul with which the Kenyan team went to half-time against Sudan.

The game ended 5-0 to Kenya's northwestern neighbours; other goals were scored by Louise Ingavi (a brace), Tyrone Kariuki, and Elly Owande.
