A couple from Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, US, was given the surprise of a lifetime after learning the garden ornament they had in their backyard was a live bomb.
BBC News reports that the bomb, which had been sitting in the backyard of Sian and Jeffrey Edwards' home, is thought to date back to the 19th Century.
Believed it was dummy
After years of having it in their garden, the couple became attached and believed it was a dummy bomb with no charge.

Mrs Edwards disclosed that she used to bang her trowel on the bomb to remove soil after gardening.
That would change one evening when a police officer knocked on their door to tell the couple he had spotted the bomb.
Mr and Mrs Edwards revealed that they struggled to sleep on the night before the bomb squad came to detonate it.
Couple was ready to blow up
Interestingly, their worry was not the fact that they were keeping a deadly weapon and that they had been told the whole street would need to be evacuated.
They were sad because the "garden ornament" had become part of their backyard, and they were sad it was going away.
The couple even told the bomb disposal unit that they were not leaving the house.
"We're staying here. If it goes up, we'll go up with it," they argued.
Bomb was "old friend"
The following day, the Ministry of Defence officers arrived at their house and removed the 29kg "naval projectile."
After living in the street since he was three years old, 77-year-old Mr Edwards was sad to see the bomb taken away.
He disclosed that the house they lived in was owned by a relative of the Morris family, who found it there more than 100 years ago.
"It was an old friend. I'm so sorry that the poor old thing was blown to pieces," he said.
4 killed, 42 injured in bomb attack
In other news, a suspected grenade explosion rocked a Catholic Mass at Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi, Philippines, on Sunday as the faithful worshipped.
Local authorities suspect that the Daulah Islamiyah-Maute Group, a terrorist organisation affiliated with the Islamic State, was behind the attack.
President Ferdinand Marcos condemned the incident as a senseless and heinous act perpetrated by foreign terrorists and vowed to bring them to justice.
