Nairobi - Reports have been trending on social media that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is probing the disappearance of Environment Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya's daughter.
Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi shared on his X, formerly known as Twitter, that Tuya's 17-year-old Form Four daughter was missing.
Is Soipan Tuya's daughter missing?
According to Nyakundi, the 17-year-old girl escaped from their Karen home along Bogani Road on Monday, December 18, by scaling the perimeter wall.

"DCI are investigating the disappearance of a 17-year-old (Form 4) daughter of Environment CS Soipan Tuya. Police says the girl escaped from their Karen home along Bogani road on Monday afternoon by scaling the perimeter wall. Picked by a Vitz," Nyakundi said.
However, the DCI, on their social media platform, dismissed Nyakundi's claims about the missing daughter, terming them fake news.
"Fake news," DCI said while responding to Nyakundi's allegations.
Nyakundi took issue with the DCI's denial and shared what he said was a police statement regarding the alleged disappearance of Tuya's daughter.
Who is Soipan Tuya's husband?
In other news, the former Narok MCA Stephen Kudate sensationally claimed that CS Tuya chased him out of their matrimonial home when she was appointed to office.
Kudate said they were legally married, having observed all traditional marriage rites, but in September 2022, Tuya deserted her matrimonial home when she assumed office as CS.
Kudate, in response to an application filed by Tuya seeking upkeep and child maintenance, denied neglecting the children they sired together.
He claimed the CS deliberately excluded him from participating in their children's welfare.
"As the head of the family, I was a man of means who provided adequately, and she knows that I am jobless, but with the little I have, I effectively play my parental role," he said.
Tuya moved to court in October this year, seeking custody of their two children and a total of KSh 3.1 million yearly for their upkeep.
