Trans Nzoia - Former Cabinet Minister Noah Wekesa has fallen victim to a gang that raided his home and made away with a firearm, cash and other valuables.

The former Kwanza MP was in the house during the Monday, December 18 raid on his Maili Tatu-Standard home on the outskirts of Kitale town.

Confirming the incident, Trans Nzoia West OCPD Patrick Gaitarira stated that they suspect a substance might have been sprayed that made them sleep and the dogs docile.

The police boss stated that the thugs ransacked Wekesa's home after gaining access through the roof.

They then proceeded to his room, where they took a briefcase containing a Smith and Wesson pistol with 11 rounds of ammunition.

Wekesa's security guard alerted them in the morning when he found the kitchen door open and the empty briefcase abandoned at the entrance.

The former minister also lost several electronic gadgets, including a 65-inch TLC television.
