Kakamega - Mumias East MP Peter Salasya's vehicle was damaged at Bulimbo in the Matungu constituency where he was attending a funeral alongside other leaders.
The lawmaker, while displaying the magnitude of the damage caused to his car, attributed the atrocity to youths he claimed had been sponsored by Governor Fernandes Barasa.
What happened to Salasya's car?
According to Salasya, Barasa was feeling threatened by his (Salasya's) growing popularity in Kakamega.

This just a few moments after Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga had brokered a truce between them calling for cooperation to the advantage of their electorate.
The lawmaker rescinded the truce, threatening to quit Azimio should he be frustrated into making peace with the governor.
"The governor saw my popularity is growing so he decided to sponsor the youths to damage this vehicle. The handshake Raila engineered between him and I won't actualise. Should anyone force me into the handshake I will quit Azimio," he said.
He declared to vie for the Kakamega governorship in 2027 to send Barasa home.
At the centre of their animosity are the politics around the revival of the Mumias Sugar Company, which has resumed operations.
Salasya attacked by goons while calling out Barasa
This is not the first time that Salasya and Barasa's cold war has degenerated into chaos.
Earlier this month, the Mumias East parliamentarian was whisked to safety after goons attacked him while he was addressing a congregation earlier today, Sunday, November 12.
Salasya was calling out Governor Fernandes Barasa over the reviving of the sugar sector in the Western region when he was suddenly attacked, throwing the entire event into pandemonium.
In a video he shared on his Facebook, his mic was snatched unceremoniously, and he tried to defend himself before his bodyguards swang into action to protect their leader.
In his social media post, Salasya blamed the governor for the chaos that ensued, accusing him of sending the rowdy youths who almost harmed him.
