Pastor Kanyari's sister never knew she would breathe her last when she allegedly agreed to meet a stranger.
John Matara, the alleged killer of the influencer, was captured on CCTV as he got into the Airbnb with Starlet. He was later found at Mbagathi Hospital nursing injuries.

Matara, according to several reports, preyed on women online, and screenshots have emerged of how he lures them to his den and then extorts them of money. Matara has left netizens cautioning each other during meet-ups with strangers.
3. John Matara was a Rastafarian
The alleged killer of Starlet Wahu left netizens nitpicking his lifestyle and what he did for a living. Friends of the alleged murderer told TUKO.co.ke that Matara was a graduate of Kenyatta University.

It emerged that the suspect was once a passionate Pan-African and Rastafarian called "Rebellious Monk" or "General Ra." He even released several Reggae songs, among them "Time Has Proven" and "Look And You Shook."
5. John Matara contacted Airbnb owner
Leaked chats showed that Matara contacted the owner of the South B Airbnb he and Starlet had rented before fleeing. In the leaked chats, Matara informed the lady that he had a fight with his girlfriend, and she was not in a good state, begging her to rush to the house.
Starlet Wahu's best friend mourns her
Wahu's best friend, Soila, shared photos and videos from their vacations and partying lifestyle, reminiscing about the great time they spent together.
"My forever third wheeler, to everywhere I went," she captioned one of the videos of Wahu driving her in her flashy car.
The mother of one penned emotional messages to Wahu, describing her as a great friend.
"I don't know what I will do without you. You are my favourite person on the planet," she captioned another video.
In another video, the two socialites were partying and popping bottles as they jammed to their favourite tunes at a popular city club.
"2018-2024, I loved you the same," she said.
