How did the needy kid earn Babu Owino's scholarship?

In other news, Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino showed his generosity by promising to sponsor a needy student who recently excelled in KCPE.

The student, whose name has not been revealed, scored 350 marks out of 500 in the national exam, but his family cannot afford to take him to a good secondary school.

His cousin, who goes by @degrata on X, formerly Twitter, took to the microblogging platform to seek help from well-wishers.

He tweeted, asking if anyone knew of scholarship programmes that could assist his cousin.

“I have a cousin who scored 350 marks in KCPE, but they are not in a position to take him to a good school. Do you know any scholarship programmes that can help?” he wrote.

His tweet caught the attention of Babu Owino, who is known for his outspokenness and activism.

The MP replied to the tweet, telling the cousin to look for him so that he could help him.

“Look for me; I will help you,” Babu wrote.
