A section of Kenyans have taken to social media to collectively agree that the cancelled Bomet wedding, which has grabbed headlines all week long, is a blessing in disguise for Amos, the groom.
The wedding of Nelly and Chepkoech and her lover Amos was set to happen on Saturday, December 9, but hours before the much-awaited event, Nelly allegedly called off the event, asking for "more to time."
As soon as the viral WhatsApp chat of the couple's cancelled wedding emerged on social media, Kenyans went berserk, with many feeling sorry for Amos, whom many felt was deceived by his lover.
Though Nelly would deny that she called off the wedding due to a reunion with a past lover, Amos accused her of deceiving him, announcing their break-up and official cancellation of the wedding.

Since the news emerged, Amos has been getting opportunities to not only meet dignitaries but also all-expenses-paid trips to heal his broken heart.
On Tuesday, December 12, he was offered a fully paid trip to Mombasa to help him heal and reconnect with himself before diving back into the dating pool.
On Wednesday, he also got the rare opportunity to meet the Kericho Governor Eric Mutai for a man-to-man talk.
While sharing the details of the meeting, the governor said he encouraged Amos with a Bible verse that says God is always close to those with broken hearts.
Without mentioning finer details, the governor disclosed that he extended some form of support to the groom.
"Following the unexpected turn of events for Amos ahead of his big day, I extended an invite to the gentleman for a man-to-man talk. Amos honoured the invite this morning and paid me a courtesy call at the county offices," the governor said.
