Omollo indicated that they were having a meal when the budding singer confidently strolled into the eatery and asked for a chance to entertain them.

When they said yes, he put on the little radio he walked around with and performed one of his songs.

"He walks table to table and requests to play one of his songs on the list; then you pay him something small. What's your thought, considering his age? Omollo questioned.

Talent or child labour?

His question stemmed from the fact that, on the one hand, the boy seems to be earning a decent income from his talent, which should be nurtured.

On the other, he is slightly too young to be roaming around the city, especially in recreational areas, performing for money.

The thin line between nurturing talent and child labour divided Omollo's followers in opinion.

Some social media users viewed it as a perfect approach for the youngster to market himself, while others attributed it to poverty.

10-year-old "human calculator"

In an earlier story, a 10-year-old boy named Isaac Nyan earned people's admiration following his impeccable arithmetic capabilities.

A video of the boy was shared by wedding MC Akin Abolade, who showcased Isaac's skill by testing him with arithmetic questions and was blown away when the lad provided answers in seconds.

Akin revealed that the boy has an eye problem and has been out of school for a year, after which he started soliciting financial support to help the youngster get treatment.
