A Luhya lady has revealed the shocking reason why she broke up with her lover of seven months, who turned out to be a Bukusu.
Georgina Ludisi, who spoke to TUKO.co.ke, said she was horrified to learn that her boyfriend, Raphael Situma, belonged to a sub-tribe that had some barbaric traditions.
Why did lady dump her Bukusu boyfriend?
She claimed that Bukusus practised infanticide on one of the firstborn twins if they happened to be the first children of a couple.

She also said she was disgusted by the traditional circumcision ritual, which involved violence and bloodshed among the Bukusu men.
"I can’t marry a Bukusu man because their culture is dirty. I hate the traditional circumcision practice. They fight each other, and also they have this unique belief that in case the firstborn are twins they have to kill one," she said.
Georgina said she dumped Situma as soon as she found out his true identity, which he had hidden from her for a long time.
She said she felt betrayed and lied to by the man she had loved and trusted.
She said she is yet to move on from the heartbreak, but she ruled out the idea of giving Situma another chance.
She said she is looking for a man who shares her values and respects her culture.
Do Bukusus kill one firstborn twin?
TUKO.co.ke reached out to an elder from the Bukusu community, Nashon Wabuoba, who dismissed Georgina's claims as outdated.
He said the tradition of killing one of the firstborn twins was a thing of the past, and the Bukusu people no longer practised it.
"We no longer encourage the practice. It used to be like that we stopped since we are in the modern era," Wabuoba said.
