"My mother is a selfless woman. She took care of me and my siblings, ensuring that we were all well-educated. It is not easy for a woman to raise six children. My dad helped her, but I saw my mother doing a great job," she said.
Matoro noted many children forget about their parents when they get to the next phase of their life, which is marriage.
She said many focus so much on their marriage and new family that they forget their parents, who have been with them since they were young.
"Children should always check on their parents because if it were not for them, then their lives would have been different negatively. Call them, visit them, get them gifts and regularly maintain communication.
Putting a smile on a parent's face is a blessing to the children. I am very thankful to my mum because she sacrificed a lot for me to be who I am now. Thank you, mum, in advance," she said.
