An ailing boy from Nyamira county can't believe his good fortune after learning that he has been called to Kisii High School, a national school, to further his learning.

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, a friend of the family, identified as Geoffrey Moturi, revealed that Benjamin Omayio received the good news on Monday, December 18, while ailing at home.

When Omaiyo was given his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), he was admitted to hospital with a serious wound on his leg.

Benjamin's leg needs grafting at Tenwek Hospital

"Benjamin has received this news well, despite the pain of a fresh wound that needs skin grafting. He has only one worry; will he get well before starting his journey in high school?" asked Moturi.

According to Moturi, Benjamin was discharged from Nyamira County Hospital, and he was supposed to be referred to Tenwek Hospital for skin grafting to cover the painful wound on his bent ankle.

However, since the family was unable to raise the hospital bill, he remains at home; he goes to the nearby Kebiringo centre daily to get the wound dressed.

Benjamin's family asks for help from well-wishers

"His prayer has been to get the skin grafting as soon as possible for him to embark on his studies to achieve his dream to be an engineer," said Moturi.
"Any well-wishers out there who can take the boy to a hospital for skin grafting will not only give him a sigh of relief, but they will also be a blessing. You can get in touch with his father David via contact +254792139679," he added.

Kisii High School principal goes viral

In another story, Kisii High School principal Fred Mogaka was the darling of netizens after he sang alongside his students in an inspiring video.

The passionate principal praised God with his students in a choir and was the soloist.

Apart from singing and dancing with them, Mogaka also donned the school uniform, which made him look just like a student.
