Nairobi - The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has announced various vacancies as a way of strengthening the office's prosecutorial role.
DPP Renson Ingonga, on Tuesday, December 5, said the 186 vacancies are meant to promote the purpose and object of his office.
"Pursuant to Section 13 (2) of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act No. z of 2013, the Office shall have power to appoint, control and supervise its staff in a manner and for such purposes as may be necessary for the promotion of the purpose and the object for which the Office is established. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the under listed vacancies," Ingonga said.

How to apply for ODPP jobs
DPP said interested Kenyans are expected to apply online by 5.00pm December 19, as hard copy applications will not be accepted.
"Interested and qualified persons are requested to make their applications ONLINE (no hard copy applications will be accepted) through the provided link on the ODPP website www.odpp.go.ke careers page or https://jobs.prosecutions.go.ke/. Applications should reach the Office on or before December 19, 2023 latest 5.00pm (EastAfrican time)"
Kenyans with disabilities and those from marginalised and minority communities have been encouraged to apply.
Among the jobs advertised by ODPP are Senior Principal Prosecutions Counsel, Prosecutions Counsel, Principal Office Administrator, Clerical Officers, Personal Secretary, and Office Assistant, among others.
The qualifications and remunerations for the jobs differ depending on the job groups, with office assistants having the least requirements.
According to the advertisement, an officer assistant is supposed to possess a mean grade of D in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and should meet Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
Candidates interested in clerical officer work are required to have a grade of C in KCSE and should also meet Chapter Six of the 2010 Constitution.
When is the deadline for KPC jobs?
Elsewhere, the Kenya Pipeline Company Limited (KPC) announced several vacancies in a move aimed at improving services for Kenyans.
In an advertisement on Tuesday, December 5, KPC said it seeks to recruit 63 people to serve in various positions.
"Pursuant to this objective, the Company is seeking to recruit highly motivated visionary, dynamic and results-oriented candidates to fill the undermentioned positions," KPC said.
Those interested in applying for the positions have been asked to check the company's website, where the details for the jobs have been posted.
At the same time, KPC said all prospective candidates are expected to send their applications by Tuesday, December 19.
