In another setting, say a picnic site or at home, the scene of a father and child sitting together in comfortable companionship would have touched people.
Pair was spotted at Gacharage Junction, Ruaka
This was, however, not the case when a photo of a father sitting with his child in the middle of the road emerged online.
The man was allegedly drunk and was seen sitting next to a child who was looking down while he stared into the distance, seemingly lost in thoughts.

To make matters worse, the two were in the middle of a four-lane road, which increased the danger for both of them.
"Happening now before Gacharage Junction, Ruaka... this jamaa is very drunk and he is in the middle of the road with a kid.If you are around there kindly respond for the sake of the kid," read a Facebook post by Sikika Road Safety page.

Muslim boy disturbs traffic as he prays on the road
On March 28, a little Muslim boy almost paralysed the traffic as he surprisingly said his prayers in the middle of the road.
He refused to listen to security personnel, who seemed to urge him to leave the road and continue praying.
The boy's action was caught on camera, and mixed reactions were elicited after sharing it on social media.
