Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua led other leaders in gracing the launch of Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki's foundation.
What is the Samidoh Foundation?
The charity, named the Samidoh Foundation, attracted several dignitaries, including Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, Nyandarua senator Methu Muhia and Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang'wa, among others.
According to Samidoh, the foundation is aimed at helping the underprivileged in society through educational support, feeding programs, etc.

Speaking at the event, the deputy president expressed his delight at having more women than men attending, adding that any event without a female presence should be avoided.
"If you find an occasion of 5000 people without a single woman, that is not a place where you should be. So I want to thank you, Samidoh, because your function is full of women," he said.
"They are even more than us. This is a very dignified sitting of serious people," he added.
Samidoh's foundation launch was a success, having been graced by the who is who in Kenya including celebrities such as Terrence Creative and his wife Milly Chebby.

Popular artists Kevin Bahati and Joyce Wmama performed wowing the audience with their greatest hits.
Later the man of the hour Samidoh, gave a captivating performance of his Mugithi tunes.
As the musician played his guitar, his baby mama Karen Nyamu led the team of dignitaries on stage, where they danced their hearts out to Mugithi.
The deputy president impressed Kenyans with his energetic moves on stage. After the dance, Gachagua gave a speech and praised the musician.
"Samidoh, I am very honoured to be here tonight for this great occasion of launching your foundation to serve society and mankind. I am very privileged to join the men and women who have come to witness this occasion.
I only wish this occasion was on Friday so that we could dance this night away. I am here as your great fan. I take time to listen and dance to your music," he said.
