Mugithi maestro Samidoh was on Tuesday, December 12, honoured with the prestigious Head of State's Commendation (HSC).
This recognition placed him among a distinguished group of celebrities acknowledged for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields.
Samidoh gets unexpected recognition
Taking to social media, Samidoh shared his overwhelming joy, expressing deep gratitude for an honour he never envisioned.

As a humble village boy with ambitious dreams, he reflected on the extraordinary journey that life had unfolded before him, attributing each milestone to the power of dreams, hard work, and the unwavering support of loved ones and fans
"Today, I take a moment to express my gratitude to the Almighty God for the incredible journey I’ve been blessed with so far. As just an ambitious village boy, I never imagined that life would take me on such an extraordinary path.
Every step of the way has been a testament to the power of dreams, hard work and the unwavering support of my loved ones and you, my fans. I firmly believe that success is a collective effort and I am forever grateful for the favour, love and support from God and from the people that surround me," he wrote.
Samidoh also extended heartfelt appreciation to President William Ruto for the HSC award and recognition.
The singer acknowledged that this accolade surpassed his wildest imagination.
"I extend my heartfelt appreciation to H. E president @williamsamoeiruto, for the Hsc award and recognition. This is beyond my wildest imagination. Indeed, all dreams are valid. Thank you all for your unwavering love and support. Let’s continue doing good as we inspire others along the way," he added.
Kate Actress, Awinja awarded Order of the Grand Warrior
The same day, Kate Actress and Jacky Vike, aka Awinja, were also awarded the honorary Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW).
Kate took to her Instagram stories to share a photo of her at State House Nairobi, where she was awarded.
Awinja was also feted, and fans were amused that she was rocking her famous pink attire in state house.
The Order of the Grand Warrior (O.G.W) is an award presented to individuals for outstanding service rendered to the country in different responsibilities and capacities.
