Nairobi - The endless spats between Nandi senator Samson Cherargei and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen seem to have taken a new turn.
On Thursday, December 7, Cherargei alleged that the Transport CS had sued him over what he termed fighting for the rights of Nandi residents.
Why CS Murkomen sued Cherargei

Without revealing much about the alleged suit, Cherargei vowed to defend his stance in court by all means.
"CS Murkomen has taken me to court because of the demand for the development of roads in Nandi county. I will fight this thing in court, in air, under the bed, and in the sea until people of Nandi get quality roads," Cherargei said.
Cherargei, who was addressing the press at parliament, claimed the CS had attempted to silence him by sending leaders to insult him at funerals.
"He tried sending leaders to come and insult me at the funeral, but I resisted strongly; after realising that strategy failed, he is now rushing to the court to gag me for defending the people of Nandi. I will not be intimidated or get cold feet," he added.
Murkomen and Cherargei have been at loggerheads since the latter accused the former of awarding road contracts to outsiders.
Why Sudi went ballistic on Cherargei
In other news, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi put the Nandi senator on notice over the latter's recent pronouncements in various forms of media.
Calling the senator to order, Sudi pointed out that he was putting shame on the ruling party.
According to Sudi, it was time for Ruto's lieutenants to combine efforts to help the president deliver on his mandate and not petty sideshow fights.
"We as UDA members let us have discipline. Let us avoid verbal diarrhoea We ought to know where we come from and where we are going. There are people recklessly speaking these days. They ought to be very careful. They were elected recently now they are out of hand. Cherargei should be told to stop that," Sudi said.
