Starlet Wahu, the slain socialite who was allegedly murdered after a date went sour, was a University of Nairobi graduate.
What happened to Starlet Wahu?
The Instagram socialite, a sister to the controversial man of God Pastor Kanyari, was allegedly stabbed to death by a man identified as John Matara.
Wahu and Matara checked in an Airbnb at South B's Papino apartment on Thursday, January 4, but did not come out alive. She bled to death from stab wounds.

The 26-year-old was laid to rest on Saturday, January 6, at her parents' home in Kamulu in a private ceremony.
Wahu, who was known for her flashy lifestyle, was eulogised as a fun-loving, outgoing and great lady. Her best friend, Soila, penned emotional messages reminiscing about the great memories they shared.
Starlet Wahu's last happiest moments
Wahu graduated from The University of Nairobi in 2022 and on September 15, the same year, her eldest brother, Kanyari, shared a video of her flaunting her certificate.
In the video, Wahu, who was dressed in all-black, was in high spirits and expressed her gratitude to her mother.
"I just picked up my certificate, and I am so happy. I would like to thank mum for believing in me, and God. I would like to thank myself for not taking any days off. I made it," she screamed in happiness.

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that a video of Wahu and her mother, Lucy Nduta, on vacation, re-emerged on social media.
In the video shared on August 6, 2023, on Nduta's TikTok account, she wrote:
"Vacation with the baby of the house #blessed mama@wahu_starlet." She accompanied the video with Tarrus Riley's song, She's Royal.
