Kenya is chockful of fraudsters who pose as employees of banks and other financial institutions to fleece unsuspecting victims.
How did TikToker scare con?
The ploy typically involves calling a target and getting them to disclose confidential information before using it to steal their hard-earned money.
However, a Kenyan TikToker turned the tables on a man who called him, claiming to work with a leading telecommunication company.

"My name is Jared, and I am calling you from Safaricom," said the caller.
The TikToker, going by Kennedy Owuor, repeated part of the sentences in a menacing voice, leaving the caller perturbed.
The fraudster then asked about his name, but Owuor countered in a menacing voice, saying:
"You should tell me my name since you called me."
The caller then said he wanted to ascertain whether he was speaking to the right person and requested his name again.
"My name is Luci and Fer," said Owuor.
The call wondered whether he was talking to a woman, and Owuor repeated the name.
"I am Lucifer. When you get home today, you will find a beautiful woman. We sent her to you to bring you here. We will eat you for dinner today," he told the caller.
"Shindwe, shindwe," the shaken fraudster said.

How did woman prank waiter?
In other news, a Kenyan woman pranked a waiter by saying she did not have money for the bill.
He offered to pay for it, but the woman revealed it was a prank.
The waiter said he was disappointed.
