A video of Nyandarua senator John Methu calling for the discrimination of non-Kenya Kwanza supporters from the Hustler Fund has raffled feathers.
The lawmaker is on record calling for favourable terms in the kitty for those who supported President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua in last year's vote.
Getting the chance to address the audience, the lawmaker asked Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui to favour those who rallied behind the government.
He was speaking in Mogotio, Baringo county at a wedding function.

Using the tribalistic gauge, Methu asked Chelugui who was at the fiction in jest to increase limits for certain identities as opposed to others.
He threw shade at those from Raila Odinga's backyard.
"CS, when you see applicants like Chep-something, Kip-something, Kamau, or Njoroge, please increase the limit. But when you see Omollo,Omondo , Owuori you can decrease for those ones," he said amid laughter from his audience.
The suggestion to segregate the Hustler Fund beneficiaries did not sit well with some Kenyans who argued the lawmaker was propagating tribalism.
They seemed to wonder why he would choose to speak division on tribal lines when unity was being preached in other parts of the country.
Others observed that the senator's sentiments spoke to the reality of nepotism and favouritism in the application of jobs in the public service.
