The Africa Climate Summit hosted in Nairobi has entered day two as delegates from across the globe continue to stream in.
President William Ruto, the host of the summit and the chairperson of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC), has displayed his passion for clean, renewable energy.
Since the preparation of the summit on Sunday, September 3, President Ruto has driven in an electric car, showing the urgency to take the direction towards clean energy.
On Monday and Tuesday, Kenyans witnessed Ruto's motorcade change from the usual high-end fuel guzzlers to small cars.
On Tuesday, September 5, Ruto drove the same electric car to the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) for the event.
Ruto will meet Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga, who is also set to address the summit.
