Kisii - The long arm of the law has finally caught up with a Bomet pastor who allegedly vanished with a Form Four girl from Ngeririt Secondary School.
Citizen TV reported that the pastor who had been on the run was arrested in Kisii county.
The pastor, alongside the minor, was arrested while reportedly boarding a matatu on their way to Kisumu.
The minor, a student at Ngererit Secondary School in Bomet, had been reported missing by her kin at the Mogogosiek Police Station.

How Kisii police arrested the duo
Detectives pounced on the duo following a tip-off from drivers operating Matatu Five Star Sacco at the Kisii bus terminal.
The drivers reported that they had spotted the 25-year-old pastor, Kipkoech Rotich, with the girl while boarding another vehicle headed for Kisumu.
The duo was taken into custody at the Nyanchwa Police Station where they are presently being detained pending transfer to the Mogogosiek Police Station for further action.
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that the pastor allegedly left with the candidate after he attended the school's prayer day.
According to Citizen TV, a police report indicated that the pastor was last seen with the school girl at Mogogosiek Trading Centre.
The duo are alleged to have boarded a boda boda and disappeared into an unknown location.
The Bomet County Education reported to the OCS about the incident, prompting law enforcers to mount a search for the man.
Why the girl is needed in school
The director said he hopes the investigation will be expedited to ensure that the girl is taken back to school to continue preparing for her national exams.
"She should be revising for her exams," Bomet County Education Director Leonard Ngugi said.
Missing Kiambu girl returns home
Elsewhere, a Form Four girl from Wangige in Kiambu county who disappeared in September 2022 after leaving home for church returned home to her distraught mother.
Gladwell Wairimu went missing after she left home to go church but did not return, sending shivers down the spines of her family, which began a relentless search for the daughter.
However, the young lady returned home following a report by Inooro TV's Wathire Ku (where did you go) programme, which aired her disappearance and her mother's desperation to find her.
