Controversial TikToker Brian Chira has publicly apologised for his past toxic behaviour.

In an interview on Kiss FM, Chira expressed remorse for being ungrateful to people who genuinely cared about him.

Brian Chira regrets being ungrateful

The content creator acknowledged that he misjudged the intentions of some friends who had supported him during his rise to internet fame.

"I'm very sorry for those I have been toxic to because I have come to realise that I have been so toxic to friends who really cared about me, but I have never known they had good intentions. I thought they were trying to use me for the fame that I was gaining. They were there to hold me, but I didn't see it," Chira said.

The TikToker, who woke up one day and found himself an internet sensation, admitted that fame got into his head, leading him to pick and choose who should be in his life.

Chira to take social media break

Chira has announced his decision to take a break from social media to reflect on his actions and rebuild himself.

He plans to switch off his phone and spend some time away from the online world.

"I want to take a break from social media. I will switch off my phone, take my KSh 10,000, and chill somewhere," he expressed.

Brian Chira's arrest and release

This apology comes after a legal battle where Chira allegedly shared Azziad Nasenya's phone number and used offensive language towards her.

The incident led to his arrest on Thursday, July 27. However, he was released on Monday, July 31, after posting KSh 50,000 cash bail.

Chira's suspension from university

In his appearance on an online show hosted by Andrew Kibe, Chira disclosed that Kibarak University suspended him after his arrest.

According to him, the institution's chief security officer delivered the suspension notice, citing that his online activities and content did not align with the university's motto of "Education Within the Biblical Perspective."

Chira's statement indicated that the university administration believed his actions contradicted the moral and ethical values they sought to uphold.
