Family hoped he's recover
Doctors had advised the family to sign a document allowing them to disconnect him from the machines, but they held on to hope of him recovering.
Citizen Digital reported that before his demise, the family was considering flying him to India for a second opinion.
The family, who have always hoped he would recover, have been left with a huge hospital bill of at least KSh 1.5 million.
They have asked for help from well-wishers to help them settle the bill as they begin the plans to lay their only son to rest.
Teachers summoned over pupil's fall
Earlier, six teachers at the Green Angels Academy in the Githurai area recorded statements following the 7-year-old boy's fall during a fun day.
Police in Ruiru sub-county say they are investigating a case of negligence on either of the parties.
Detectives have already visited the scene of the incident and interrogated the management and staff at Destiny Gardens on the safety of their equipment and support team.
Speaking to Citizen TV, Ruiru Sub-county commander Alex Shikondi said they will leave no stone unturned, and everyone found culpable will be dealt with according to law.
