Nairobi - Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have had a field day on social media today.

The detectives have been engaging netizens over the arrest of a suspected drug peddler in Kariua slums in Ngara.

They took to social media to ask Kenyans to look for another 'Kwa Mathe', another peddler who could sell the illegal product.

The investigators shared a screenshot of google maps showing directions to where they busted the suspected peddler.

"We have closed Kwa Mathe. Look for another peddler," DCI said in a cryptic message on their social media.

The location pin said the joint was operational 24 hours a day.

Netizens trooped to the comments section to react to the cryptic message saying the authorities cannot completely deal with drug peddlers in the country.

Joe Muhahami asked;

"Mtaweza kweli? Kwani Mathe sio Ngara.. Ni Ngaras mingi hii Kanairo".

Lameck Tarus asked;

"Mtamaliza mapedi kweli?"

John Orimbo opined;

"Sasa majani imemea pekea yake ni kitu ya kufungia madhe nyumba? Legalize this thing!"

Mejja Kelmo said;

"Weed for life. Even God blessed the plant."

Mc Mdomo Mingi;

"You can arrest mathe but you cannot arrest kwa mathe."

The netizens also expressed dissatisfaction with how the DCI swiftly responded to criminal cases but delayed in processing good conduct for Kenyans.

Detectives arrest Ngara woman

Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit and the Trans National Organised Crime Unit seized a substantial quantity of cannabis sativa and a staggering sum of KSh 12 million in cash.

The successful operation resulted from meticulous intelligence work and a collaborative effort between the two units, showcasing the determination of law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.

The operation, which occurred in the sprawling slums of Kariua within Nairobi's Ngara neighbourhood, unfolded with precision.

A contingent of officers from the Anti-Terror Police Unit based at Parklands provided crucial support, enhancing the effectiveness of the mission.
