Nairobi - Senator Edwin Sifuna has shared his struggles with a toxic boss, adding that he got tired and quit the job.

The youthful politician pointed out that despite the job being well-paying, his mental state was under constant pressure.

He stated that the job was lucrative, adding that he was sent to a car yard on the first day to pick up his car and treated like a manager.

Sifuna exclaimed that he slept with his mobile phone not ringing for the first time, adding that he had become friends with the boss.

"The downside of that job was that my boss, who these days they call the boss from hell, was in charge. I know he is watching this show, and these days we've become friends. He used to put me under a lot of pressure back in 2013, and I told myself, "This is not healthy for me." I was earning around KSh 400,000 in 2013, which wasn't bad.
I kept wondering, "Why am I experiencing this stress on a daily basis?" For the sake of my mental health, I decided to leave and start practising as a lawyer on my own. The day I quit that job for the first time, I slept like I had turned off my phone. I slept like a baby.," he said.

Sifuna spoke on Friday, September 1, during an interview on TV47, where he dismissed the statement that any job is worth taking.
