A Kenyan woman using the TikTok handle @kairetu_kogi has cautioned women against marrying rich men saying most end up in unhappy and miserable marriages.
Kenyan woman on marrying poor men
She claimed that the most unhappy women are those who have everything but the love of their partners.
"If there are people who are unhappy in marriages, people who are suffering in their marriages, people who are in miserable marriages, they are these women you see who married rich men. Bwana alikuoa akakununulia gari, akakujengea nyumba, na plot. You have everything unaweza tamani. But their marriages are miserable, hawapendwi, (the husband married you, built you a house and plots...)," she said.

Kairetu_kogi also advised women to go for men they build an empire with together because, according to her, they never leave after becoming successful.
"People who are married by rich guys hawapendwi. If you want a happy marriage, marry a hustler. Mtoke na huyu hustler chini, muinuane na yeye hadi mfike pahali mnatamani kuwa. (You build each other from the bottom up till where you chose to be) That guy will always remember where you got him from. He will never forget that, he will always have you in mind. He will never think of other women, he will never think of anything else apart from you. Marry a poor guy if you want a happy marriage," she said.

Man speaks against loaning men
Elsewhere, a Tanzanian man advised women against supporting men struggling financially, adding that they shouldn't let them move in with them.
Speaking on the Love_Point_TZ platform on TikTok, the man also said feeling sorry for them is a lethal poison.
He added that giving men financial support makes them seek control elsewhere after achieving stability.
