A Kenyan healthcare advocate has shared a payslip of a medical officer (MO) indicating the net salary after deductions.
The payslip posted by Mbiti Mwondi on X social media platform (formerly Twitter) indicated that the MO's total earnings (gross salary) was KSh 203,404 in August 2023.

Man breaks down KSh 100k salary
In related news, a Kenyan man who earns a net salary of KSh 100,000 after remitting Pay as You Earn (PAYE), tithe and other taxes broke down his bills and monthly expenses.
Under the Facebook group 52-Week Savings Challenge, the anonymous high-income earner revealed he remained with a balance of KSh 19,700 after paying all his bills and saving some cash.
He sought advice on investing as he felt he was not saving enough.
"My net income after taxes and tithe is KSh 100k. I feel I am not saving and investing enough. Please advise from the below on how I can invest and increase my Sacco savings by reducing my monthly expenses," he wrote.
After the National Assembly passed the Finance Bill 2023, President William Ruto assented it to the Finance Act 2023, which directs the deduction of a 1.5% housing levy from the salaries of employees.
Many Kenyans have decried the deductions that were dated back to July 2023.
