At the time of her disappearance, the student at Bishop Abiero Mixed Secondary was dressed in a white dress with black flowers.
"She sneaked out at a time no one was at home; the elder brother was in school, the dad had gone to work, while I had taken the small baby to hospital," the mother said.
The worried parents disclosed that they are convinced their daughter is being held by a boda boda rider who lives in Alendu, past molem in Kisumu.
Suspect denied claims
When they reached out to him, he maintained his innocence, adding that he was not aware of the teen's whereabouts.
"He told us that it is not him but his friend who has the girl, but when we ask him to lead us to his friend he says he doesn't know where he is. In short, he's avoiding justice," neighbor Ruth Bosibori Ogari added.
The parents expressed their frustration at the fact that there has been little in the way of leads even after reporting the matter to Kondele Police Station vide OB 61/24/8/2023.
Beverlyne's parents are requesting anyone with information that can lead them to their daughter to do so through the toll-free line 0800-22-33-44, call 0711 119 728, or report to the nearest police station.
