On Tuesday, June 8, the Magistrate Court in Malawi refused to grant the 30-year-old scheming mother bail.

Calling police on 'careless' mum

According to Malawi24, Zodiak Online reported Chirwa took the baby to her ex-husband on Thursday, August 3, at his place of work.

She argued that her former lover was not supporting his child and wanted him to step up on his fatherly duties.

The displeased man phoned the police and informed them of the situation, which was responded to in haste.

Chirwa, who hoped to corner her ex-lover, was immediately arrested and taken in custody with her fragile baby.

Mother, daughter refused bail

The mother and the child remained in custody until they appeared in court for the case to be heard.

Second-grade magistrate Annie Simwaka refused to grant the duo bail adding that both will remain in custody.

She said they will not go home, and the court shall hear their case again on Wednesday, June 9, to determine the next step.

Taking custody of children after separation

In a different story, a lady was in tears as her ex-husband returned to take custody of her children with her new husband.

The heartbreaking post about the woman who had her children abducted by her former husband drew much attention.

The sad woman was previously married to a man under customary law but later left the marriage.

After a short while, she remarried another man, but sadly, her ex-husband abducted her two children claiming they belonged to him.
