A video shared on Twitter depicted passengers inside a matatu full to the brim, and some were forced to stand.
The person recording the clip was at the back of the vehicle and noticed Ngesh wearing a grey hoodie.
One of them called out to Ngesh, and she turned, revealing her face.
"Kazoze, come let us take a selfie," said a woman off-camera.
However, a smiling Ngesh would not budge and instead told the woman to go to her for the selfie.
A young then indirectly questioned why Ngesh was riding in a matatu despite her fame.
"Last time I heard 2mbili had signed you. What happened?" he asked.
However, the rapper did not respond, and they urged her to drop some lines. They called Ngesh numerous times, but she ignored them as they laughed.
Netizens were unamused by the video and accused the passengers of harassing the artiste.
@MunyokiFredrick:
“I cannot allow strangers to give this kind of pressure.”
@JosephMainaKe:
“This looks so wrong from every angle. She’s human like the rest of us, just trying to make it. The best thing would be to let her ride along and focus on her life without the pressure.”
@j_drakoo:
“What do you guys want? Leave Ngesh alone.”
@k_zippie:
“Now she can't board a matatu in peace.”

Stivo said he was ready to settle down with Ngesh in marriage.
