It was a hamster wheel that pushed her into depression enough times, but each time she would bounce back and try again.

The condition cost her marriage as her ex-husband used that to chide and torment her, forcing her to walk out and embark on a journey of recovery and self-love.

She had been to tens of doctors in search of a solution, that one thing that would guarantee a pregnancy that will not only be carried to full term, but also deliver a bouncing baby.

That was never to happen.

Racheal died at KNH

When she died while undergoing surgery at the Kenyatta National Hospital Private Wing, curtains came down on Racheal's hopes and dreams for a baby.

Days before she breathed her last, she had indicated to TUKO.co.ke that her blood was clotting inside her veins and arteries, and that she was always on blood thinners.

"Please pray for me," she requested, gasping for breathe.

Days later, the usually-optimistic woman lost the hard-fought struggle when she was wheeled into theatre never to come out alive.

Shattered dreams

Racheal Munene, a fighter per-excellence who tried everything within her powers to have a baby, exited the world without achieving it.

Racheal Munene, a loving soul who believed that she had finally found the correct medication to her problem and would be a mother in 2024.

Racheal Munene, an epitome of hope and strength and embodiment of bouncing back from loss, died fighting for her dreams.

She will be laid to rest in Malaa, taking with her all the pain of no having the one thing she craved for the most.

Struggled with pre-eclampsia

During her earlier interview with TUKO.co.ke, the 35-year-old disclosed that her woes were as a result of pre-eclampsia.

She added that the one weird bit about her condition is that there was never protein in her urine as in with other cases.

"I would give anything just to hold my baby in my arms, but for the time being I just smile and pray that the God of Hannah, my God, has heard my plea and is at work," she said with optimism.

Racheal revealed that during the pregnancies, her blood pressure was always very high and she suffered from low amniotic fluid, known medically as oligohdramnios.

The worst memory, she revealed, was burying her child on the side of the road along Kangundo road during the during COVID-19 period because no one was willing to help.

May her soul rest in peace.
