Nakuru - A lady has defended her relationship with an elderly man, saying she is not with him for money.

Winny Ndung'u clarified her intent to be with Ndung'u Kariuki Kahato, born in 1932.

Children oppose father's union with younger woman

Ndung'u said she was with Kariuki because she loved him dearly and wanted to build a family with the man.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Ndung'u shared she faced lots of opposition from Kariuki's family.

"My husband's children had opposed the our union. They said that their father had held on to a lot of property that was meant for them, and he was getting married. They also said that he was marrying a young woman who could manipulate him. His lastborn is older than me by a decade," she said.

Ndungu's mum opposed the couple's relationship since Kariuki's lastborn fell in her age bracket.

"She said that she had been hearing about him (Kariuki) from when she was a little girl, she did not believe that he was still alive. She told me that the man was too old for me, I was only 30," Ndung'u recalled adding that despite the resistatance, her mum honoured her wish.

Kariuki was ready and willing to fight for Ndung'u at all costs, as he loved her and believed she was God-sent.

"I can knock off a person's teeth because of her," he hilariously said.
