Nairobi - Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi has revealed why ODM leader Raila Odinga has always failed to win the presidency in his previous attempts.
Elachi asks Raila to focus on 2027 poll
During an interview on K24, Elachi pointed out that leaders who are supposed to help Raila win are never always serious about the ODM leader becoming the president.
According to Elachi, most leaders only use the name of the former prime minister to win elections and not him winning.

"Baba knows that sometimes we just play on him, many times we are not serious about him being president, we just use him for us to get our positions and after that we are done,"said Elachi.
According to Elachi, the ODM leader's political journey is predictable, and leaders around him have taken advantage of that.
For instance, she argued that in every election, Raila normally complains, but his close allies know he will move on after some time.
"At the moment, he is on dialogue, and that is it, we are finished," she noted.
At the same time, Elachi, elected on the ODM party ticket, asked the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party to focus on the 2027 elections instead of resisting the 2022 polls.
"The government is already focusing on how they are heading to 2027 and so should Azimio," she said.
What MP Caroli Omondi said about the ODM party
Meanwhile, Suba South MP Caroli Omondi hit out at the ODM party leadership for opposing his move to work with President William Ruto's administration.
During the commissioning of the first public Wi-Fi at Magunga Market in Homa Bay county, Omondi vowed to continue supporting the Kenya Kwanza government agenda.
Omondi, elected on an ODM ticket, dismissed suggestions that he will lose the 2027 elections because of his current political stand.
He confidently said he would still win his re-election bid without the ODM party nomination certificate.
"If somebody thinks that I will need an ODM ticket to run again, let me tell them I am ready to face my fate. I will come back, and you will tell me where to follow, and I will win. That one I am sure I will get back to parliament," Omondi said on Sunday, August 13.
