"Biblia inasema nitakupa msaidizi, sio msaidizi wa kula, ni msaidizi pia hata wa kutafuta (The Bible says, I will give you a helper. Not a helper to eat, it's a helper also in providing)," he emphasized,.
He further reminded his listeners that a partner should be a helper in all aspects of life, including working together towards a common goal.
The preacher's message centred around assessing a woman's character and work ethic before committing to marriage.
Not all women in church are wife material
He further cautioned them against assuming that all women met within the church premises are automatically suitable life partners.
"Binti hana kazi, ni kuremba makucha tu na kutembea barabarani. Kimbia huyo na umuogope kama ukoma," he asserted.
He suggested that men should be wary of women prioritising appearances and socialising over meaningful contributions to a partnership.
Mgogo further elaborated on his perspective by encouraging single men to seek out industrious and proactive women.
"Tafuta dada anauza mboga na matunda, anatembeza nguo, hana kazi lakini anajishughulisha. Unajua huyu nikimleta, ni wife material, nitamleta, nitampa capital na atachakarika. Nikileta 1000, analeta 500," he explained.
Underlining that women who engage in entrepreneurial activities and contribute to the household finances are more likely to build strong, supportive relationships.
Mugogo says men must move out of parents' house
Previously, Mgogo had expressed his views on newlyweds who still reside with their parents after marriage, stating that it robs them of the joy of consummating their union.
He stressed the importance of establishing a separate household and encouraged newlyweds to fully enjoy their union without interference.
In a recent interview, Pastor Mgogo used proverbial language humorously to drive home his point that couples cannot fully experience the joy of marriage if they continue living with their parents.
He likened the situation to reading a book in a quiet environment, stating that flipping the pages would create a disturbance.
