East Africa Got Talent (EAGT) 2019 winners Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira are back at home, but they are not sure whether or not they'll return to Canada, where they've been studying.
Pulse Uganda reports that the singing duo arrived in the country just over a week ago, accompanied by their younger singer, Elizabeth.
Parents to decide next step
During a recent interview, the siblings disclosed that their parents are yet to decide on whether they will return to Canada or finish the remaining school journey in their home country.

“It’s still fifty-fifty,” the duo said when asked if they were asked whether they were visiting or back home to stay.
They added that the parents will decide whether they fly back to the country they have been living and studying since 2020.
Esther recently graduated from high school while her younger brother is in 10th grade, the equivalent of Senior Four in Uganda.
Received by dad
The siblings, who have been staying in Canada with their mother, Julie Jean Birungi, were received at Entebbe International Airport by the dad, Pastor Steven Mutesasira.
Their mother, a former gospel singer, fled Uganda in 2017 after coming out publicly to reveal she was gay and even dropped the name Mutesasira.
She not only went ahead and got married to a fellow woman named Jean, but her estranged husband also married a lady called Judith Nyamuhange.
Birungi has often hinted on her wish to come back to her mother country but always expresses fears that she could be arrested at the airport over her sexuality.
I'm gay, Birungi revealed on EAGT
Birungi confirmed her sexuality on Canada's Got Talent audition interview in April 2022, causing an uproar from her countrymen.
Many were even more disappointed when the former renowned gospel singer went ahead to get married to a woman.
During the brief interview with Canada's Got Talent where her adorable and talented kids had gone for an audition, she said:
"I left Uganda because of my sexuality, being a gay woman in Uganda and married to a pastor, that's an abomination."
