Nairobi - The High Court has once again postponed the judgment of former TV news anchor Jacque Maribe and her ex-fiance, Jowie Irungu, charged over the murder of late businesswoman Monica Kimani, to January 26, 2024.
Jacque shared a photo of flowers on her Instagram story, noting that she was stressed over the court's ruling.
She captioned the snap:
"How to start your morning when stressed over court."

Monica Kimani's judgment postponed
The judgment delivery against the two suspects was, however, postponed for the second time on Friday, December 15.
According to Assistant DPP Gakui Gichui, the elements of murder, including malice aforethought, causing death, and unlawful acts of omission, were proven by the prosecution during the trial.
"My Lady, taking into account those elements and the ingredients of murder, we humbly submit that the prosecution has proved malice aforethought and has linked the first and the second accused to the murder of Monica.
"We therefore request that the court, taking into consideration the evidence at hand, finds that we have proved our case beyond reasonable doubt and convicts the first and second accused for murder," Gichui said.
Jacque took to her Instagram stories to rant, noting that it was not fair to postpone the case.
"It needs to stop! 5 years I have respected the court, but also this is too much. This is not Kenya. Justice Grace Nzioki, justice delayed is justice denied. Stop putting people's lives at limbo. If I am not culpable, I'm not. Tired of this."
Maribe reads news of Monica's death
In 2022, an old footage resurfaced online, showing the moment Maribe read news of Monica's death on TV.
Maribe recounted how Monica's brother found her lifeless body, only for the former news anchor to be implicated in the murder.
The chief investigative officer told a court they firmly believed Maribe and her ex-fiancé killed Monica.
