Nathaniel Obongo, a Kenyan residing in Norway, made a special trip back to his homeland to reward outstanding performers in the KCPE exams at Kital Primary School.
Why did Nathaniel gift the candidates?
The aim was to provide basic Form One requirements and alleviate the financial burden on the students and their families.
The event, held at Kital Primary School, featured a ceremony officiated by popular comedian Eric Omondi, adding a touch of humour to the joyous occasion.

Obongo Oballa took to Facebook to share the news, captioning photos of the event and expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the initiative.
"Yesterday we proudly hosted Eric Omondi as he presided over gifting of KCPE candidates of Kital primary school with basic admission requirements to secondary school," Oballa wrote.
He extended special thanks to Eric Omondi and Nathaniel Odongo for their significant contributions.
Power of community
Omondi also shared his reflections on the event, emphasizing the strength found in community unity.
"During these very hard economic times, our only HOPE is in our Unity," Omondi wrote in a Facebook post.
Omondi praised the community's response, stating,
"People came out and contributed. Mothers, brothers, sisters, and fathers came out. The community stood together, and now over 31 pupils will go to secondary school."
The collective effort demonstrated the power of community support in ensuring the education of deserving students, especially during challenging times.
Oballa echoed the sentiment, stating that the generosity of Obongo not only brought smiles to the faces of the young scholars but also provided much-needed relief to their parents and guardians.

Duncan Njoroge and his three children were left without a home after their dwelling was allegedly illegally demolished, forcing them to sleep in the open.
Omondi, known for his comedic talents, shared the distressing situation on his Facebook page, revealing that he had received a distress call from Njoroge.
The comedian, who was spending quality time with his family, could not ignore the urgent need for assistance.
