Githimia TV's DJ Tripple has something to look back on and thank the Almighty for as the year 2023 ends.

The popular entertainer underwent a successful kidney transplant at Artemis Hospital in India.

DJ Tripple's words to Kenyans

He shared photos after the successful operation as he looked happy on his way to recovery.

"Hi, family. We did it. Thank you all for your prayers and support. Thank you for supporting my donor too many God bless you ❤️," he wrote.

The encouraging photos captured while in the hospital gave Kenyans hope as he looked to bounce back.

Kidney transplant in Artemis Hospital in India

A tray of food was before him as he posed for the pictures with a peace sign and a delightful smile.

"Can't hold my tears of joy ... Thank you, Lord, for using us to give hope. Finally, DJ Tripple's transplant was successfully done at Artemis Hospital in India..... Jehovah, you are wonderful," Karangu Muraya wrote.

Kenyans have supported DJ Tripple through his lowest moments, including raising KSh 300,000 to help the young Kenyan DJ initially hospitalised with kidney failure at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

The fund drive was spearheaded by Kikuyu musician Karangu, who mobilised Kenyans to contribute financially to the excellent work.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, DJ Tripple expressed he was glad he was getting back to his feet slowly after the surgery.

"It was not easy, but I am grateful I went through it. I am just looking forward to the recuperation process, which also will not be easy, but God will enable me. I have been through a lot of pain in the process, and it has been quite a journey.
I am just grateful to God and Kenyans and I am optimistic before it is long, I will be back strong and healthy," he shared.

Surviving without kidney in India

Separately, a Mombasa father in India said his daughter survived without a kidney after her second operation failed.

Walter Kabitta Njoroge's back was against the wall as he hopelessly saw his daughter, Fyona Wanjiku Kabitta, suffer.

The young girl survived without a kidney following an unsuccessful operation in India in June 2022.

The Mombasa family had been in India for a while, moving from hospital to hospital as they sought medical help.
