The mother-son duo had visited Kawangware in Nairobi, and it was during this trip that Peter mysteriously vanished, leaving his family in a state of despair.
Nyambura recounted the years of relentless searching for her son, checking different places, including mortuaries, only to be met with disappointment and a growing sense of hopelessness.
The breakthrough came when Njoro Deputy County Commissioner David Mbevi revealed that Peter Mburu had been discovered on the side of a road.

Acting swiftly, the authorities rushed him to Njoro sub-county hospital for immediate medical attention.
In a bid to trace Peter's family, the news of the unidentified man's discovery was publicised, reaching the ears of his family in Limuru.
Overjoyed and hopeful, they quickly identified him as their missing family member.
