Nairobi - Kenyans have continued to express their anger over the power outage witnessed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Sunday, December 10.
A Kenyan identified as John Njenga Karugia took to social media, saying the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers should be allowed to manage JKIA given its strategic importance to the country.
What Murkomen said about KDF managing JKIA
Njenga told Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen that allowing KDF to manage the energy supply at JKIA will safeguard the reputation of President William Ruto's government.

"Bwana CS, just let the military, KDF, run the energy supply department of JKIA since it is the heart of Kenya's air transport. KDF will kill two birds with one stone: guard JKIA and guard the reputation of their Commander in Chief, President Ruto. Also, use every roof at JKIA for solar," Njenga said.
The Transport CS reacted positively to the suggestion.
"Suggestion well received," Murkomen responded.
Why Murkomen wants police to probe power outage
Meanwhile, the Transport CS asked the National Police Service to investigate the frequent power disruptions in the country.
According to Murkomen, the frequent power blackouts could be an act of sabotage and coverup by government employees.
"Considering the frequency of the power disruption and taking into account the fact that JKIA is a facility of strategic national importance, we are making a formal request to the National Police Service to investigate possible acts of sabotage and coverup," Murkomen said.
The CS added that the cleanup of the mess at JKIA continues even as police try to establish the truth behind frequent power outrages in the country.
