Citizen Digital reported that the man, identified as Muthemi Funga, was abducted in his home by unknown assailants on Tuesday, November 5.

According to the police report, Muthemi was abducted in front of his wife and children.
The wife reported the incident at Kibaoni Police Station, where officers conducted a search in the area and discovered Muthemi's dead body near Jima Forest, which is near his home.
Lamu County Commissioner Luis Rono said the incident was a criminal case and not related to terrorism.
''This is not a terror-related case; we are fully committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice and restoring a sense of security to the affected community,'' Rono said.
How a Nakuru man died after calling his wife
In other sad news, a family in Nakuru was left mourning their kin, who was found dead by the roadside under unclear circumstances.
Faith Muthoni, wife of the deceased, identified as Mwai, said she prepared food for him and left to go pick up their child from nursery school.
Muthoni fought back tears as she explained that her husband had left when she returned to the house.
She said hours into the night, Mwai was nowhere to be found, and he was not responding to her numerous calls. P
However, as she was about to go to sleep, Muthoni said her husband called and informed her that he had been abducted and his attackers planned to kill him.
After the revelation, she asked Mwai how she could find him since he didn't know where he was being held.
"He called me and asked, 'My dear, where am I?' I replied, 'Now, How will I tell you where you are. Why haven't you come?' He said, 'Let me tell you where I am. I am in a house, locked in and I can't get out because I'm locked in with a padlock. And these people want to kill me.' I asked, 'Which people?' she narrated.
