Thika West police officers have surprised orphans at Bishop Isaac Amburu's children's home with abundant presents as Christmas approaches.
The officer heading the project shared that they collectively contributed funds with colleagues to ensure the project's smooth execution.
"The Thika APs fraternity jointly contributed. We then proceeded to buy items we considered important for the children during this Christmas season," he said.

What did the officers donate?
According to Ramogi TV, the officers who donated cereals, drinks, and flour, among other goodies, emphasised the importance of sharing during the festive season, acknowledging those who may lack reasons to smile.
"Financial constraints affect many, but even modest contributions from everyone can bring joy. Join us in supporting others through almsgiving," he added.
Expressing delight at the thoughtful act, a representative from the orphanage conveyed gratitude, commending the police officers for recognising and presenting gifts to the children.
"We're overjoyed that our children can also join the festivities alongside others. We received flour, drinks, snacks, clothes, and various gifts. Despite lacking parents, the recognition and gifts create a sense of parental love for them. I encourage everyone to share not only within their families but also with orphans and others in need during this season," she urged.
Traffic Officer amazes citizens through kind act
A compassionate traffic officer, Abdi Galgalo, was lauded by netizens for coming to the aid of a young boy who seemed stranded with a baby on his back.
The Kitui-based officer said he noticed the children from afar, looking very exhausted, before giving them support to get back home.
"I saw him as if he was very tired, and he was carrying a child, and he was still far from reaching home. When I saw him sweating, I felt sorry," he said.
