Nairobi - Former Kenyan policewoman Linda Okello has bared a Facebook imposter using her identity and photos to fleece unsuspecting social media users, men being her major target.
The impostor lady's real identity is Hellen Chepkoech Cheruiyot.
It dawned on Linda that Hellen uploads her (Linda's) photos as her own with the intent of attracting infatuated male compatriots looking for love.

Impostor using Linda Okello's photos
She is suggested to be easy-going in her undertakings, a nearly perfect bait for her unsuspecting victims.
Money is Hellen's love language while 'getting into character', and the ambitious men give it with the hope they will get an audience with her ultimately.
Coming out to put the public on notice, Linda exposed the lady accusing her of using her identity and photos to carry out fraud.
Unsuspecting victims of fraud cautioned
She wondered why the victims were falling prey to Hellen's antics when they could verify before choosing to incautiously wire money.
Linda warned the casualties against presenting lamentation to her saying she won't take any responsibility for their loss.
She invited her Facebook followers to help in admonishing the impostor into submission and then desistance if possible.
"This is the lady using my photos to con people. And please don’t ever inbox me that you’ve been conned by somebody using my photos. Why would you pay for goods before delivery? Bro sample first before making any payment. Or is it fare that you people send?" wondered Linda.
Linda became a sensation on the internet years back after her photo in an eye-appealing police uniform that sketched her curvaceous body physique went viral.
She recently won a legal suit she instituted against the Standard Media Group and one of its subsidiary publications over a supposed 'improper' sharing of her image.
The US-based Kenyan also sued the media outlet for using her image for commercial purposes devoid of her permission.
Linda Okello gets KSh 6.5 million in damages
Linda sought, among other things, general damages for libel, aggravated and exemplary damages, and an injunction restraining the Standard Group and its journalists from putting up defamatory publications against her.
Lawyer Tom Ojienda, who led the attorneys appearing for her, revealed their client had been awarded KSh 6.5 million in damages by Judge Asenath Ongeri.
"We have just won an award of KSh 6.5 million for Linda Okello a former police officer improperly degraded by the improper sharing of her image and likeness and the use of her image for commercial gain and or publicity," posted Ojienda on Twitter.
The media company was also compelled to cover the costs of the case from the time it was first instituted.
