One neighbour said they heard gunshots, and when they checked, they found the young men dead.
“We were called by neighbours who heard the gunshots and mistook it to be fireworks, only to find the bodies there,” a neighbour said.
He disclosed that three bodies were found outside the car they had and one inside.
The four were driving a Suzuki Swift that was sprayed with several bullets, immobilising the men.
The incident happened 1 km away from Buru Buru Police Station. Police recovered two daggers from one of the deceased.
Why Kakamega teacher was killed in her house
In other sad news, residents of Mbande village in Malava were shocked by the brutal murder of a 59-year-old teacher.
At the time of her death, Florence Sikolia was the Friends Secondary School Muhomo deputy principal.
She was reportedly followed back to the house after confirming if the gate was locked before being strangled to death by unknown people in her house.
The scuffle in the house attracted a farmhand who locked the house from outside, and one of the assailants was arrested. They claimed she was sexually assaulted before being killed.
According to the police, their preliminary reports showed Florence was strangled using a cloth in her house, but they were waiting for lab analysis to have a clear report.
"The doctor confirmed he had been strangled with a sheet around his neck, so the other analyses or items that were taken to the lab haven't arrived yet. We are waiting for confirmation on whether this act was indeed perpetrated by the suspect," the police said.
