A report by Nation revealed that Kaaria allegedly stole the fuel guzzler, which came into her possession through her employment.
Why did Kaaria want to be released on bail?
The accused's lawyer asked the court to be released on lenient bail conditions, arguing that Kaaria's young child was left alone and traumatised after her arrest.
Her lawyer further explained to the court that she was laid off from her job in September and is yet to be paid her dues.
"My client was dismissed from her job in September 2023 and was never paid her dues and therefore I urge this court to be lenient in determining her bond," the lawyer pleaded.
The lawyer revealed in court that there is a pending case in the High Court regarding the ownership of the vehicle. The complainant in the present case is the plaintiff in the other.
Kaaria was released on KSh 500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum or on bail in the sum of KSh 100,000 with two sureties.
Kenyan men puzzled as police arrest beautiful lady
Elsewhere, Kenyan men camped on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Facebook page to give varying views after a 21-year-old lady was arrested over kidnapping and robbery.
Grace Akinyi, born in 2002, was arrested as part of the gang that kidnapped and robbed an Australian man and his Ugandan wife in a fake gold scam deal.
Akinyi caught the attention of many Kenyans, as many could not believe that she was already involved in crime at a young age.
Her beauty also warmed the hearts of some Kenyan men who hilariously asked the DCI to be lenient on her as she was a beautiful young lady.
