Nairobi - A woman has painfully shared the challenges she underwent during her toxic relationship.

Monica Wambui Kamau claimed her gay husband did not want to see her prosper and went out of his way to ensure she was dependent on him.

Wambui said she had a blooming bar business where she met her gay husband before he discouraged her from running the venture.

How Nairobi businesswoman lost her customers

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Wambui claimed her gay husband, who forced her to serve his male friend, threatened to leave her if she did not shut down her business.

"That is where I was earning my daily bread. He was the type of person who wanted to ensure I had no money. I was paying school fees and rent. He said he could pay my rent, but I asked him to pay half, and when he did, he started harassing my customers.
If he found me talking to a customer, he would push the customer and tell him to go to another bar. That's how he chased away all my customers," Wambui narrated.

I lost KSh 4,000, Wambui

The Nairobi lady recounted a night there was a burglary in her bar, and she claimed her gay husband was behind it.

"He was the only one who had the key to the door because it was not broken. It was just unlocked, and money and television were stolen. When I asked him, he said there were many cases like that, and there was no need to follow up with the police. I had lost KSh 4,000 in cash plus the TV. He did all this because he wanted me to close my business," she noted.

Separately, a man who bought his wife a car and opened a business for her said she cheated with six men.

He bought her a car and opened a booming business for her, but in return, Mercy stole from him and became disrespectful.

She cheated on him with six other men, leaving the Nairobi man licking his wounds and counting his losses.
