"We had registered 594 candidates. We released the top 12 who had As to the media. Our teachers are not yet done with tallying, but we believe that there will be more because these are provisional results," he ascertained.
The school believed it would produce the best candidate nationwide due to its dedicated mentoring efforts, as per the teacher.
"We were expecting that our candidate would be the top student, and I want to believe he could be because he has attained an A of 84 and has been the best student since Form 1. His name is John Mark Oluu," added Ong'uti.
How did Nyambaria perform in the disputed results?
According to the unverified information, Olum, the student identified with index 004 at the school, allegedly secured A grades across all subjects.
Additional reports disclosed that all candidates whose scores were shared on social media purportedly achieved a mean grade of A.
Moreover, the school reported a commendable mean grade of A- with a score of 11.31, showcasing an improvement from the 2022 mean score of 10.89.
However, KNEC, in an official statement on social media, labelled the purported results as "fake news" and emphasised the importance of verifying information before dissemination.
TSC suspends Nyambaria centre manager
The school hit headlines during the administration of the exams when their centre manager was suspended on allegations that he engaged in exam malpractice.
An internal source disclosed that the suspension resulted from a recommendation from the examining body.
"We want to end this impunity as soon as possible," said the KNEC official.
