Njoroge was nominated to be the deputy organising secretary by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Jubilee Party faction, inclined toward former president Uhuru Kenyatta, and has, in the recent past, been vocal about the current political situation in the country.

On Wednesday, December 20, Njoroge announced that she had completed the formal process of becoming a bona fide member of the ACK.

She shared beautiful photos of herself and her best friend, Jane Nduta, at the ACK All Saints Cathedral, where the confirmation happened.

Process of joining the Anglican Church of Kenya

"I have completed the process of joining the Anglican Church. Earlier today, Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit confirmed me during a confirmation service at All Saints Cathedral. How lovely it is to be with friends and spiritual leaders!" disclosed Njoroge.

Some of her friends could not fail to notice Njoroge's striking resemblance to her best friend, Nduta, saying it was difficult to be convinced that the two were not siblings.

Njoroge and Nduta are remembered for being jointly arrested over an accusation of possessing narcotics, charges that were dismissed for lack of evidence.

Sammy Wainaina on the church and William Ruto

Also at the event was former All Saints Cathedral Provost Reverend Sammy Wainaina, who has also dominated news platforms for his fierce tackles against the church and the political class in the country.

Wainaina called out the Kenya Kwanza regime, the parliament, the Opposition, and the church for failing to play their roles and ensure that the cost of living in Kenya was accommodative to everyone, including low-income populations.

The former provost is currently the Adviser on Anglican Communion Affairs in London.
